Pak
Supermarkets
was founded
in 1978 based at Lozells Road Birmingham and
traded as PAK Butchers and Grocers. The store
sold usual convenience store products, Halal
meat and focused on serving the needs and taste
differences of the local community originating
from the sub-continent.
Pak
Supermarkets expanded gradually and over time
the workforce increased along with many new
store openings.
The
brand has now become so successful that shoppers
visit the stores from as far away as Leicester
and Banbury on organised shopping trips by
coaches and mini bus.
Within
Birmingham the PAK brand can now be found
in all Asian areas of significance and has
established a reputation as a place where
customers can shop and purchase a full range of
Asian groceries at very competitive prices under
one roof. The PAK Stores tend to be larger than
those of other retailers in the area.
